Following this webinar, attendees will be able to:

  1. Determine the appropriateness of digital versus paper administration of assessment measures based on patient age and presenting concerns.
  2. Summarize the literature regarding the benefits and limitations of digital assessment administration in early childhood.
  3. Identify three clinical and training benefits associated with digital test administration.
Abstract

The use of digital assessments (both in-person and remote administration) in psychological practice is growing, with new versions of some measures being offered only via digital administration. However, much of the research has historically been with adult populations. This presentation will examine the appropriateness of digital assessment tools as part of a developmentally informed psychological battery in early childhood (preschool through early elementary). It will highlight emerging research, review the equivalency data for in-person and remote digital assessment for specific measures, and offer practical strategies and recommendations for clinical practice and training.
