Designing Mathematics Classroom Assessments
to Address College and Career Ready (CCR) Standards:
An Interactive Workshop
Tuesday, February 4, 2025
3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. CST
Learn how two administrators use principles from Heritage and Neal to coach teachers into designing an aligned classroom assessment that meets the mathematics rigor required in today's College and Career Ready (CCR) standards and ultimately impacts their practice for student learning. In this interactive workshop participants will use an evidence-centered design and the essential characteristics of high-quality items to actively learn how to analyze and write an aligned assessment that supports the three principles of the CCR mathematics standards. A continuing education certificate will be sent to all attendees.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Following this webinar, attendees will be able to:
- Examine a sequence for developing assessments for classroom use.
- Apply principles for developing and analyzing mathematics classroom assessments that are valid for classroom use.
- Create questions that reflect the depth and breadth of CCR mathematics classroom standards.
- Explore ways that teachers can use principles from psychometrics to ensure valid and reliable designs.
