Assessment of Intellectual Disability
Assessment of intellectual disability is a complex process that extends beyond measuring cognitive abilities to understanding an individual’s adaptive functioning, strengths, and support needs across environments. Ethical evaluation requires integrating information from multiple sources, including standardized assessments, observations, and input from families, educators, and other professionals.
The presenters in this three-part webinar series will share current research, practical applications, and perspectives on assessment practices for individuals with intellectual disabilities, highlighting approaches that support accurate diagnostic practices and improve outcomes across educational, clinical, and community settings. Continuing education credits are available.
