Controversies in College Admissions: Access, Honesty, Equity and Excellence Symposium

We are excited to be one of the first institutions of higher education to host a national discussion about access, honesty, equity, and excellence in admissions practices. This one-day symposium will be held at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s City Campus, conveniently located near the Nebraska State Capitol and historic Haymarket District.

Conference Summary

College Admissions processes and measures have attracted considerable attention through the media recently. Issues arise when the public questions the ethics and honesty of admission decisions and who is accepted. It is critical to ensure access, honesty, and equity in the process, while continuing to achieve excellence in our future classes. This research-based symposium will look at recent trends and explore potential new models for college admissions.
